Before You Draw a Line.

A useful chart begins with a question that familiarity can make us overlook: what does this price actually represent? A screen labelled gold may display an exchange traded fund quoted in dollars per share. An exchange rate may be a reference fixing rather than an executable quote. Similar names do not make prices interchangeable.

In a CCGO reading, the instrument, price unit and observation time come before the geometry. A distance between two points needs a defined unit, especially when that distance will later become a monetary exposure.

Keep a short data card beside the chart: symbol, source, currency, price convention and sampling interval. It can prevent an expensive misunderstanding before any line is drawn.

يبدأ التحليل الجيد بسؤال بسيط قد نتجاوزه من شدة الاعتياد: ماذا يمثل هذا السعر؟ قد تحمل الشاشة اسم الذهب، بينما تعرض وثيقة استثمار تتداول بالدولار للسهم. وقد يكون الرقم سعر صرف مرجعيا لا سعرا متاحا للتنفيذ. تشابه الأسماء لا يجعل الأرقام قابلة للاستبدال.

في قراءة CCGO، نحدد الأداة ووحدة السعر وتوقيت الملاحظة قبل البحث عن الشكل الهندسي. فالمسافة بين نقطتين تحتاج إلى وحدة واضحة، وكذلك الخسارة المحتملة عند تحويلها إلى مبلغ مالي.

لهذا تستحق بطاقة البيانات مكانا بجوار الشارت: الرمز، المصدر، العملة، نوع السعر، والإطار الزمني. هذه التفاصيل الصغيرة تمنع أخطاء كبيرة قبل أن يبدأ التفسير.
